Marvel: Builds up Loki’s character over many films, giving him one of the most complex character arcs of any MCU character, full of jealousy, anger, and yet also love. Also builds an extremely dynamic relationship with his brother Thor, another great character. Allows a huge fan base to build around him.
Also Marvel: Immediately kills him off, after he’s finally reached his redemption and is in a position to finally play a heroic role in the films, in the first scene of Infinity War.
